10:44Growing Purple Kohlrabi on the Terrace is big and beautiful, very easy for beginners
Save referenceExpectation Violation
Fat purple globes grow out of old plastic bottles, so the frame looks wrong twice. Most viewers cannot name the vegetable, and it is thriving in rubbish. The strangeness earns the look, then the title lowers the bar, saying beginners find this easy.
Title
It reassures viewers the strange result is easy for beginners.
Thumbnail
It stops the scroll with an odd crop thriving in waste bottles.
Use this when your process produces something visually odd. Show the strange result exactly as it is, with no text, and use the title to make trying it feel achievable.
Let the odd image shock; let the title reassure.
Turn the lesson into a decision
Apply this pattern to your next video.
Bring the reference into a packaging brief, then decide what your title and thumbnail should each communicate.
