The red box means Budget day to British viewers, and here Burnham holds it up under TAX GRAB. His tight-lipped face and 'Not Looking Good' say the news is bad. Business owners click to find out what it will cost them.
'First' tells you there's no track record to go on, and the aside in brackets, 'It's Not Looking Good…', gives Michelle's verdict but not the damage.
The quote marks make TAX GRAB sound like other people's words rather than Michelle's, and the open box holds a list of business tax rises for viewers who look closer.
When a known decision-maker is about to make a change that costs your viewers money, show them with the object that stands for that decision. Put the critics' phrase in quote marks so you report the anger without owning it.
Let a famous symbol announce the event before any words.
What to avoid copying
Don't put invented policy details on a real politician's document, because at feed size it can read as announced fact.
Apply this pattern to your next video.
Bring the reference into a packaging brief, then decide what your title and thumbnail should each communicate.
