55:00The Closest Thing We Have to Alien Technology
Save referenceCuriosity Gap
Most people have never seen this machine and couldn't say what it does. The two people in red suits look tiny beside it, so you see how huge it is. 'This shouldn't exist' says it's beyond belief, so you want to know what it is.
'Alien Technology' makes a real machine sound impossible, and 'The Closest Thing We Have' keeps the claim grounded, so it reads as wonder, not a conspiracy video.
The red suits are the only colour on a silver machine in a dark room, so they catch the eye and show the scale, and the red underline echoes them.
When your subject is real but sounds impossible, show it with a person beside it for scale and a short line of disbelief. Leave its name out of the title and thumbnail, so viewers have to ask what it is.
Show the real thing, add a person for scale, withhold its name.
Apply this pattern to your next video.
Bring the reference into a packaging brief, then decide what your title and thumbnail should each communicate.
