9:54How to Design Packaging in Adobe Illustrator - from Sketch to Dielines
Save referenceDesired Outcome
Lots of artists can draw a lovely design, but turning it into a real box is where they get stuck. The sketch on the iPad becomes a printed box that looks shop-ready. 'From Sketch to Dielines' promises the tricky bit in between.
'Adobe Illustrator' tells designers it's in the tool they already use, and 'Dielines' names the flat fold-out template printers need, the part most illustrators haven't done before.
The pink arrow carries your eye from the flat sketch to the finished box, and its 'Notebooks, Five Designs, FSC Paper' label makes it look like a real shop product.
When your tutorial turns a rough idea into a finished, physical thing, show the rough version on the left and the real object in the middle with an arrow between. Name the technical step in the title.
Show the sketch becoming a real product, and name the missing step.

Bring the reference into a packaging brief, then decide what your title and thumbnail should each communicate.
